Sainik Admissions
Students can join a Sainik school either in Grade VI or in Grade IX only. They cannot join in any other Grades.
The admission procedure for new Sainik Schools is a multi-step process.
| Step | Task | Description |

| 1 | Registration for All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) | The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Exam registration is done as per age eligibility (listed in the next section). Exam syllabus, format, etc can be found in the information bulletin of the exam. The deadline for exam registration is normally by October-end or mid-November of every year. |
| 2 | Attending AISSEE Exam at exam centre | The exam date is normally during January 1st week. Results are released six weeks after exam date. Students need to score a minimum qualifying mark as mentioned in the Information bulletin of the exam. |
| 3 | Online Counselling | Register for online counselling & make school choices. Before making school choices, parents are expected to learn in depth about the school of choice (in terms of practices, facilities, fees, etc.) and make an informed choice. |
| 4 | Document Verification (at the chosen School) | After selecting school, parents need to report to school for document verification on the date mentioned in the counselling website. |
| 5 | Medical Exam (at medical centre mentioned by the chosen school) | Complete medical examination of ward at medical centre referred by School to ensure medical fitness. |
| 6 | Fees payment (at the chosen school) | Fee payment is the last step in the admission process. At this point, school would be sharing the reporting date to hostel, etc. |
Vallaba Sainik School will be enrolling students for,
- Grade VI only (for Academic Years 2025-26, 2026-27, 2027-28)
- Both Grade VI & IX from Academic Year 2028-29
Age Eligibility
- For Grade VI admissions — Student age to be within 10-12 years & promoted in Grade V.
- For Grade IX admissions — Student age to be within 13-15 years & promoted in Grade VIII (applicable for Vallaba Sainik during 2028-29)
